I was thinking, looking upon my daughter’s latest artistic expression that there is much to be appreciated at the hands of chaos. She never follows symmetric form or clarity. Her drawings are always infused with jagged lines, blurred and crooked boundaries and random, almost always convoluted accents of color and shape. When I see her works, the first thing I notice is a blotch that challenges my perception and yet, surprisingly, makes me want to pay more attention. I feel like after plunging into a sea of chance medley, I surface to appreciate every breath of originality, uniqueness and imaginative expression.
